Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification

This new qualification has been developed in order to meet the needs of the electrical contracting industry.

It is intended to provide candidates with an introduction to the fundamentals of inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations.

It is aimed at practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training.

It is also suitable for those coming into the industry with limited experience of inspection and testing.

This course is not suitable for beginners. In addition to relevant practical experience, delegates must possess a good working knowledge of BS7671 to C & G 2382-10 or 2382-20 standard

Candidates who achieve this qualification could progress onto the Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391-10).

This is very much a 'hands-on' course. All underpinning knowledge requirements will be supported by frequent practical activities.

Assessment will be by:
A multiple choice online test covering the underpinning knowledge relating to the fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations, as required by BS 7671:2008
A practical test covering the range of inspections, tests, verification and recording of information and results for a new electrical installation, as required by BS 7671:2008

17th, 18th May (Assessments 19th May - Practical + 21st May Online Exam)
8th, 15th September (Assessments 22nd September + one exam tba)
