Fire Safety Awareness & Use of Fire Extinguishers (1 day)

This course gives participants an opportunity to see and use fire extinguishers (optional) and to be aware of how fires start and spread. Aimed at all levels of staff this practical course gives an overview of fire safety procedures ranging from legislation, basic principles of fire and prevention to fire plans and emergency evacuation procedures.

Any person with responsibility for fire safety, including employers, managers and supervisors.

Areas to be covered include:

New fire safety law

Classification of fires

Common causes and awareness of fires in the workplace

Fire risk assessment requirements

Fire detection, fire warning and fire fighting equipment.
